So I talked about trying to put together some deal scenarios last week for HyVee's ad coupons and the Kimberly Clark catalinas. Well, thank goodness it is a 2-week ad because I am just getting to my grocery shopping! Sorry in advance for the long post, but want to be sure I give you some ideas to get you going on thinking of your own deals that fit in your life. HyVee has some "special" coupons in their ad this week -
$5 off $25 Baby Product Purchase
$10 off $50 Baby Product Purchase
$5 off $30 Health and Beauty Item Purchase
PLUS, Kimberly Clark is offering Catalinas (coupons printed with your receipt, so after you make your purchase) of dollars off your next shopping trip at HyVee -
So as you can imagine, if you can combine both an in-ad coupon with the catalina AND your own coupons you will find some pretty good deals. This means if you like to stock up on things you know you will use, this is a good time!
The first deal is what I did yesterday on a whim, at the grocery store with my two little ones in tow. I knew in advance what items I might like to stock up on and clipped some coupons to go with those things...hoping I could put it all together. Here it is:
On a whim scenario (I am stocked up!):
Buy 6 Kotex Pads 2/$5 = $15
Buy 4 Kotex Tampons 2/$5 = $10
Buy 2 3-packs Kleenex $3.99
Buy 1 Secret Deoderant $4.19
Buy 1 Dentek tooth piks $1.29
= $38.46 ($30 Kimberly Clark & $30 Health & Beauty - Kleenex not considered H&B)
-$6 Use 3 $2/2 Kotex Pad 8/8 SmartSource
-$3 Use 2 $1.50/2 Kotex Tampons 8/8 SmartSource
-$1 Use 2 $.50/1 3pk bundle Kleenex 7/11 SmartSource
-$5 Use $5/$30 beauty product HyVee in-ad coupon
total of -$15 in coupons
Total $23.46
Receive $10 catalina= $13.46 for 14 items! Or $.96 ea!
Scenario if you only get one paper a week:

Buy 4 Kotex Pads = $10
Buy 4 Kotex Tampons = $10
Buy 2 Right Guard Deoderants = $3.76 sale $1.88 ea
Buy 1 Dial bodywash = $3.97
=$27.73
Kimberly Clark/not H&B
Buy 1 3-pk Kleenex, sale $3.99
= $3.99
Total Kimberly Clark $27.73 + $3.99 = $31.72
Other Health & Beauty (difference is $2.27)
Buy 2 Finesse, sale B1G1 Free = $3.69
= $3.69
Total Health and Beauty $27.73 + $3.69 = $31.42
Total of purchase: $31.72 + $3.69 = $39.10

Plus, can submit for purchase price of Finesse rebate from 5/16 SmartSource, which would decrease purchase amount by $3.69 or total $13.53, $.97 ea item
What if I don't have any coupons scenario 1:
Buy 8 Dial Bodywash, sale $3.97
= $31.76
use $5/$30 in-ad cpn
= $26.76
receive $10 Kimberly Clark
= $16.76 or $2.10 ea.
What if I don't have any coupons scenario 2 (may be a little extreme but you get the idea):
Buy 16 finesse shampoo/conditioner, sale B1G1 Free @ $3.69
= $29.52
Buy 1 Hyvee lip balm 2-pk, sale $.98
= $30.50
use $5 off $30 in-ad cpn
=$25.50 or $1.50 per item
can also submit rebate found in 5/16 SmartSource for free finesse, which would be purchase price of $3.69
Huggies Baby Product Scenario:
Huggies sale $8.99 x 4 = $35.96
Use 4 $2.50/1 cpns here or $4/2 cpns here
= $25.96
- $5 (wyb $25) Hyvee coupon
=$20.96
- $10 Kimberly Clark= $10.96 or $2.74 each!
Pampers Baby Product Scenario (unfortunately not a Kimberly Clark product, so will be a bit higher):
Price in store $9.99 (some may also be marked $8.99)
Buy 5 pkgs = $49.95
Buy 1 baby item $1 or less just to get to $50 (example: baby food)
Buy 5 Pampers Diapers (free with coupons below)
= $51.95
use 5 $1.50/1 P&G insert 8/1 (-$7.50)
use 5 when you buy diapers get wipes free P&G insert 8/1
= $44.95
- $10/$50 baby product purchase in-ad coupon= $34.95 or $6.99 ea for diapers PLUS 5 wipes.
