With 44 days left until Christmas, I find myself thinking about the men on my list. They are probably the hardest to shop for on my list, but when I really think about it, they are the easiest to please. What ideas do you have for the men on your list? I thought I would designate this blog post to the men. Now, I will probably focus on electronics and tools another time, this post is designated for "other" ideas.
*Every year my Grandma gets ALL the men on her list a box of chocolates. Now the box of chocolates that comes home with us every year, um, well, maybe I enjoy that too! :-) This is such a fun and easy annual tradition.
*What about a pair of nice, warm gloves? These come in handy when out shoveling snow or snow blowing, or just to have an extra pair in the car.
*A homemade Car Saftey Kit! Grab a plastic container suitable for storing in the car and load it with all items you think necessary for the receiver of the kit! Go over here for some ideas on things that go into typical saftey kits. This is a great way to utilize some of your stockpile and freebie items like: gum, shout wipes, toothpaste, toothbrush, cough drops, etc.
*Tickets to a local sport team (ie. Stampede in Sioux Falls)
*Magazine subscription for one of their hobbies or interests (refer to this post if you are looking for hot magazine subscription deals!)
*A meat and cheese (& goodies) gift. You can purchase these in a number of places, including online. However, you can also put one together yourself! How?
--Grab a basket (maybe you already have one on hand - if not, remember that Hobby Lobby and Michael's offer 40-50% coupons almost weekly) or another nice choice is a new cutting board.
--Purchase meats, cheeses, crackers, nuts, beef jerky, beer, root beer, magazine (maybe even a note of a purchased magazine subscription), etc Keep in mind that you will want to be sure that meats and cheeses do not need to be refrigerated unless you plan to store the gift in the refrigerator. I have seen cheeses not needing refrigeration at World Market
--Put all items together and throw a little color shredded paper to decorate it a bit (use your own home shredder)
--Wrap with saran wrap, if you wish and add a bow or some ribbon.
