Living - 36 Days Until Christmas & Giving Back on a Budget!

This is definitely the season of giving, thus all the gift shopping topics I have posted over the past several days.  But when it comes to giving, we can also consider those that are in need this holiday season and all year round.  With just 36 days left until Christmas, have you given thought on how you can give back to those less fortunate?  Here are a few ideas that just may make it possible for you this year even on a tight budget!

Freebies and Samples
all the freebies and samples you may have accumulated over the past few months.  Donate any that you may be able to give up.  I even received a free pair of socks in the mail recently from one of the freebies I posted about.  I don't need the socks, although nice to try...so definitely something I can pass along.

Some of the deals in the above category may fit here as well.

*Also, safe shelters for abused women and children
They are glad to take donations as well.  Think toys, baby-care items, etc.

Many of the above items would be accepted.

Maybe an extra package of diapers here that you could pass on

*How about helping out the animal shelters in your area.  Here are a few ideas:
- Do you have any extra blankets stored away that you haven't used in years?  Shelters may accept these as they make good bedding for their animals.
