The happy and clean animals!
So, I have to admit that I have been putting off cleaning a couple of my daughter's favorite stuffed animals for fear of the end product. Both of her favorite items have the 'beans' in them and I had never dealt with cleaning them before. For fun, I took before and after pictures of Oinkie (the pig) and wish I had done the same with Kitty (the cat). The cat was much worse off than the pig, but I am completely satisfied with the results. They are both clean and smelling fresh, ready for gettin' dirty again!

To clean them, I added a shallow bath of water in my bathroom sink and added a mild detergant (I used Dreft).

I then rubbed the water all over it and scrubbed, with my hands. Then drained the dirty water and rinsed the sink. Then added clean water. Placed the animal back in the water and rinsed it thoroughly.
Then I squeezed as much water out as I could over the sink. The animal then got a good towel drying treatment.
And finally, set them outside to dry. About two hours later they were dry and clean! Ready for more fun times!
So if you are putting off cleaning that special animal because you are afraid of the end result, give it a try...it was a lot easier and painless than I imagined.
