Saving - Walmart Coupon Policy Updated!

Walmart has recently updated their coupon policy, with a few highlights to consider when shopping there:

**Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.

This means if the product is $1 and you have a coupon good for $2/1 of that product, you can receive $1 change back or it can be put towards helping pay for your other items.

**Competitors’ coupons that feature a specific item for a specified price
If a competitor has a coupon in their ad stating an item is a specific price, you can now clip those and use them at Walmart.

**Checkout coupons
Those fun coupons you get while checking out, also known as catalina coupons, can be used at Walmart!  (Don't believe this includes register rewards because it doesn't specify a product).

Check out the full policy here.  I would suggest printing this policy and sticking it in with your coupons so if there are any questions you can refer the cashier/manager to the online policy!

Saving - HyVee Kellogg's 50% Off Sale!

This week at HyVee you can grab Kellogg's cereal, breakfast bars and Pop-Tarts for 50% off.  Original prices may vary by store, but I thought I would list out Kellogg's coupons that are available!

**Keep an eye out for packages that have additional coupons inside or on the box!!  In the picture above is an example of the 12 ct Pop Tarts (orig $3.19 at my store - so just $1.59) that have some nice coupons on the back: $1.50 off fresh fruit when you buy 2 12 ct Pop Tarts AND $1.50/3 8 ct Pop Tarts!

With the nice prices on oranges $1.98 (just $.48 after coupon) or strawberries $1.68 (just $.18 after coupon) this week, you are sure to score some cheap fruit and nice priced Pop Tarts if you find these specially marked packages in your store.

Saving - My Kmart Doubles Trip Today!

I did it!  I am watching my sister's two kids and I took all 4 kids to Kmart today! Boy was I brave!  I don't know how those of you that have four or more children do the shopping thing.  Bless your hearts!  :-)

I planned to do the following scenario, however the Kmart in Yankton was out of Gillette bodywash, so I had to quick switch up my scenario (I should have planned out a back up, but I hadn't) and I don't think I did too bad of a job with the kiddos along and with limited extra coupons.  I will show you that scenario below (pictured above).

Planned Scenario:
4 Tampax Pearl ($4.49 each) = $17.96
2 Gillette Bodywash ($4.99 each) = $9.98
3 Secret Deoderant ($2.50 each) = $7.50
= $35.44
Use these coupons:
4 $2/1 Tampax Pearls 2/27 PG (will double)
2 $2/1 Gillette Bodywash 2/27 PG (1 will double)
2 $1/1 Secret Deo PG Savings Booklet
1 .50/1 Secret Deo 2/27 PG
Total coupons: $24.50
= $10.94
Receive $10 coupon good on my next Kmart purchase (for purchasing $35 or more PG products)
= $.94 for 9 items or about $.10 each!
